A leave type refers to various absence types that an organization recognizes and permits its employees to accrue days or hours of paid time off as they work, to use for vacation, illness and other leaves.
On the Leave Type page, you can create any number of leave types based on your organization’s requirements.
To create leave type:
Field | Description |

Leave Type Value | Enter the name of the leave type, such as Sick Leave, Cause Leave, or Vocation. |
Is Non-Approved | Click this checkbox to make this leave type non-approved. This means the approvals will be skipped when an employee submits a request for this leave type. |
Description | Enter the description for the leave type. |
In the Leave Policies tab, the application automatically shows the list of policies assigned to the leave type. You can also relate the leave type to other policies that are not assigned to any leave type.
To add a leave policy:
5. In the Leave Policies tab, click the Add New button.
6. Select a leave policy from the pop-up window and then click Ok.
